One of the most exciting motoring events of the summer arrives in Cork this weekend, as the inaugural CRITICAL Car Show comes to the historic grounds of Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens.

Taking place on Sunday, 28 June 2026, the show is being held to raise funds for CRITICAL, the leading emergency medical response charity. The event is sponsored by Škoda Ireland and will feature hundreds of vehicles, food vendors, family entertainment, and interactive displays throughout the day.

Car enthusiasts are in for a treat, with the only Porsche 911 Turbo 50th anniversary edition in Ireland among the highlights, alongside a Lamborghini Aventador, the famous 2001 Jordan Formula One car, and the legendary Billy Coleman's Rothmans Opel Manta rally car.

Younger visitors are also well catered for, with a dedicated Children's Fun Zone and a Lightning McQueen lookalike vehicle on the day.

The event also shines a light on the frontline emergency services that keep communities safe every day. Cork County Fire Service will display its new Cobh-based fire appliance and response vehicle, while representatives from the Irish Coast Guard, An Garda Síochána, and CRITICAL responders will be on hand to meet visitors and demonstrate the equipment they use to save lives. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn CPR on the day.

Edward Walsh, Head of Operations & Standards at CRITICAL, said:

"The response to our first CRITICAL Car Show has been incredible. We will have some really special vehicles from historic rally cars and F1 machines to supercars on display. While the cars will attract enthusiasts from across the country, the real purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the work carried out every day by CRITICAL volunteers and emergency services personnel who help save lives in communities throughout Ireland."

CRITICAL operates a nationwide network of more than 300 responders who are alerted by the National Ambulance Service to life-threatening incidents and emergencies. The charity's volunteers include doctors and consultants equipped with emergency response vehicles and high-tech equipment, Community First Responder (CFR) groups, and off-duty paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

Ciara Breen, Marketing Manager at Škoda Ireland, said:

"We at Škoda are proud to support the CRITICAL Car Show and the incredible work carried out by CRITICAL responders and emergency services across Ireland. This event brings together a shared passion for motoring while helping raise awareness and vital funds for an organisation that makes a real difference in communities every day. We look forward to seeing families, car enthusiasts and supporters come together at Fota House for what promises to be a fantastic day."

No tickets are required for the CRITICAL Car Show; attendees are invited to make a donation on entry. All proceeds will support CRITICAL's mission of empowering communities with the tools and training to save lives.
