Haulbowline Island Amenity Park closes Thursday afternoon for naval operations, reopening Friday morning.
Haulbowline Island Amenity Park will close from 1:30pm on Thursday, 18 December, due to naval operations in the area.
Cork County Council announced the temporary closure on Sunday, confirming the park will reopen on Friday, 19 December.
The amenity park, located on Haulbowline Island in Cork Harbour, provides walking trails and recreational facilities for visitors. The island is also home to the Irish Naval Service headquarters.
The council apologised for any inconvenience caused by the closure.
