Witness Appeal: Serious Assault at Liffey Park, Mayfield
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a man in his late 30s was found with serious injuries at Liffey Park, Mayfield, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Gardaí in Mayfield are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault at Liffey Park, Mayfield, Cork City, in the early hours of Tuesday, 5 May 2026.
Gardaí on active patrol discovered a man in his late 30s with serious injuries at Liffey Park shortly after 3am. The injured man was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The scene has been preserved for forensic and technical examination, and investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí are asking anyone who was in the Liffey Park area during the early hours of Tuesday, 5 May 2026 to come forward, particularly those who may have camera or dash-cam footage. Any footage should be made available to investigating Gardaí.
