BMW Seized by Bandon Roads Policing Unit Over Expired Tax and NCT
BMW seized by Bandon Roads Policing Unit after motor tax expired since 03/2024 and NCT since 05/2022, breaching Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act.
A vehicle stopped by the Bandon Roads Policing Unit during patrols has been seized after Gardaí found the motor tax had been expired since March 2024 and the NCT since May 2022.
An Garda Síochána Cork has confirmed that the Bandon Roads Policing Unit stopped the vehicle during patrols. Checks showed the motor tax had expired in March 2024, while the NCT had expired in May 2022.
Gardaí said that with the NCT more than four years out of date and the tax over two years out of date, the vehicle was seized under Section 41 of the Road Traffic Act.
An Garda Síochána Cork reminded motorists that it is their responsibility to ensure their vehicle is properly taxed and has a valid NCT before being used in a public place, closing the post with: "No Tax + No NCT = No Car."
