The Warren Beach Car Parks Full as Cork Beachguards Warn Against Roadside Parking
Cork County Beachguards ask drivers not to park on roads, footpaths or verges, as emergency access must be kept clear.
Cork County Council's Beach Lifeguard Service says very high visitor numbers have filled the car parks at The Warren in Rosscarbery, and is asking drivers not to park on roads, footpaths or grass verges, so that ambulance and emergency vehicle access stays clear.
The service said on Sunday 12 July 2026 that the car parks at The Warren Beach are full, with the hot weather bringing very high visitor numbers to its beaches.
Cork County Council Beach Lifeguard Service said:
"The Warren Beach car parks are now FULL. Please do not attempt to park on roads, footpaths, grass verges, or in any location that could obstruct access.
It is essential that ambulance and emergency vehicle access is kept clear at all times."
The Warren, at Cregane near Rosscarbery in West Cork, is one of 12 beaches covered by the council's Beach Lifeguard Service. The council has said lifeguards operate daily during July and August, from 10.30am to 7pm.
A Met Éireann Status Yellow high temperature warning for Cork is in place from 1pm on Sunday 12 July 2026, with maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C forecast. Met Éireann lists water safety issues, due to increased use of lakes and beaches, among the potential impacts.
The service thanked the public for their cooperation. Updates are posted on the Cork Co Co Beachguards Facebook page.
