Met Éireann has issued a status yellow high temperature warning, with maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C forecast for nine counties, including Cork.

The warning covers Carlow, Cork, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, and Wexford. It was issued at 07:45 on Thursday 16 July 2026, with onset expected from 12:00 on Friday 17 July 2026. The warning is due to expire at 20:00 on the same day.

Drought
