N40 Westbound Night Closures Between Sarsfield Road and Bandon Road Until 24 October
N40 westbound closes overnight between Sarsfield Road and Bandon Road, 21:00 to 06:00, until Saturday 24 October for roadworks. Expect delays.
Planned night-time closures on the N40 westbound between Junction 4 Sarsfield Road and Junction 3 Bandon Road run until Saturday 24 October, with motorists warned to expect delays.
TII Traffic, Transport Infrastructure Irelandâs traffic information service, has issued a planned road closure notice for the stretch. The westbound carriageway closes due to roadworks from 21:00 to 06:00, Monday to Saturday, between 19 and 24 October.
On that schedule, the closures still to come include the nights of Thursday 22 October and Friday 23 October. The notice does not set out a diversion route or say what the roadworks involve.
The affected stretch links Sarsfield Road with the Bandon Road Roundabout, where the N40 meets the N71. Shift workers, night owls and anyone making a late run home to Ballincollig or West Cork will want to plan around it, so checking live traffic updates before setting off is a good idea.
