The detections, which took place in Dublin, Kilkenny, the Midlands, and Rosslare Europort during the week commencing 2 March 2026, were the result of risk profiling and intelligence-led operations.

Among the items seized were tobacco products valued at over €31,800, representing a potential loss to the exchequer of over €24,900. The brands included Marlboro Blue Line, Sobranie, Merilyn, Muratti, Mofoh cigars, Olivia cigars and Rocky Patel cigars, among others.

Officers also seized 1.5kg of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of almost €30,000, along with various other illicit drugs valued at over €6,900. The drug seizures included cannabis resin, cannabinoid vape liquids, synthetic cannabinoids, butane honey oil, cannabis oil and methamphetamine.

A total of 1,134 assorted tablets, including Benzodiazepine, Diazepam, Alprazolam, Ephedrine and Zopiclone, were also recovered, with an estimated value of over €1,890.

The drug-related seizures were made with the assistance of Revenue's detector dogs Sam, Ciara and Jasper. The parcels had originated from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada, and were destined for various addresses nationwide.

Seventeen counterfeit items, valued at almost €11,700, were also seized after the Rights Holder confirmed they infringed on Intellectual Property Rights. The fake goods included items bearing the names of Nike, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Christian Dior, Adidas, Prada, Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Canada Goose and others.

In addition, 5,101 weapons accessories were recovered, comprising EX3 Explosive III Flash Bangers and one machete.
