Resident Appeals for Considerate Parking at Whitebay Beach and Roche's Point
Appeal from a resident near Whitebay Beach and Roche's Point: please park responsibly. Roadside parking could block emergency vehicles.
A local resident living between Whitebay Beach and Roche's Point has appealed to visitors to park responsibly during the current spell of warm weather, warning that cars left along the roadside could prevent emergency vehicles from reaching the area.
Cork Safety Alerts has been contacted by a resident in the area, who said visitors arriving in recent days have left cars along the road once the official car park has reached capacity.
The resident acknowledged that drivers may feel they have limited options when the car park is full, but stressed that the situation poses a genuine safety risk to those living locally.
A local resident said:
"If an emergency vehicle was needed in the area it would be unable to pass, and this is very dangerous and worrying."
The resident has asked Cork Safety Alerts to share the message with followers and visitors alike, requesting that anyone travelling to the coast over the coming days park considerately and keep access clear for residents and emergency services.
