Recall of Cooked Ham Products Over Possible Listeria Contamination

Several batches of cooked ham products are being recalled due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected products are:

  • Brady Family Wood Smoked Real Irish Ham 6 Slices, 80g, batch code 235417, use-by date 16/07/2026.
  • Brady Family Hand Crumbed Real Irish Ham 6 Slices, 80g, batch codes 235880 and 235765, use-by date not stated.
  • Deluxe Triple Oak Smoked Carved Irish Ham 5 Slices, 130g, batch code 235461, use-by date not stated.
  • Deluxe Honey Roast Carved Irish Ham 5 Slices, 130g, batch code 235473, use-by date not stated.
  • Tesco Finest Crumbed Shaved Ham 16 Slices, 120g, batch code 235412, use-by date not stated.

Recall notices will be displayed at point of sale. Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like symptoms, or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe and cause serious complications. Pregnant women, babies and people with weakened immune systems, including the elderly, are more vulnerable to infection. The incubation period is on average three weeks, but can range from three to 70 days.

Retailers are asked to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point of sale. Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches.
