Night Resurfacing and Line Marking on N22 Between Ovens Bar and Caseys Road

Night-time motorists on the N22 will need a little patience, with contractor Arkil Ltd carrying out road resurfacing and line marking between the Ovens Bar and Caseys Road from Monday 9 November to Wednesday 25 November 2026.

The works will be carried out at night from 8pm to 6am, with a localised “STOP/GO” system in operation to facilitate them. Flagmen will be on hand to assist motorists.

Arkil is asking motorists to make themselves aware of where the works are being carried out at any given time, and to leave additional time for any journeys they need to make. If you’re heading home from a late shift or setting off for an early start, it’s worth building that into your plans.

Resurfacing work is already ongoing on the N22 between Srelane and the Ovens Bar, where Arkil began night works in June.

Arkil Ltd, in its memo to residents and businesses:

“We will have an engineer and traffic management foreman on site so you can talk to them should you have any questions.”

The company apologised for any inconvenience caused and said it will endeavour to complete the works as quickly as possible, adding that the end result will be beneficial to all.

Anyone with queries can contact Arkil’s office on (021) 477 5988.
