N22 Resurfacing Works at Kilcondy Begin Next Week
N22 Kilcondy resurfacing starts Wed 13 Aug for 3 weeks. Traffic management in place, expect delays.

McSweeney Bros. Quarries Ltd will carry out resurfacing works on the N22 at Kilcondy from Wednesday, 13 August 2025, through to Wednesday, 3 September 2025. Traffic management systems will be in operation throughout the three-week period.
The works have been notified to An Garda Síochána under Section 37 of the Road Traffic Act 1994 and associated Road Traffic Regulations. Cork County Council and the National Roads Authority have authorised the traffic control measures for the duration of the project.
Daniel Moriarty, EHS Manager at McSweeney Bros. Quarries Ltd, confirmed:
"Works are due to be carried out 13.08.25 to 03.09.25."
Motorists using the N22 through Kilcondy should expect delays during the works period and are advised to allow additional time for their journeys. Traffic management systems will be in place to guide vehicles safely through the work zone.
The resurfacing works form part of ongoing maintenance on the N22. Specific details of traffic arrangements and any diversions will be clearly signposted once works commence on Wednesday.
