More Than 200 Supercars Return to Cork for Cannonball on 13 September

Ireland's biggest supercar road trip is coming back to Cork, and watching it will not cost you a cent. Cannonball 2026 pulls into Circle K Fermoy for a fuel stop at 12.30pm on Sunday 13 September 2026, before rolling on to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Little Island for lunch at 1.30pm.

More than 200 supercars, hyper cars and novelty cars are taking part, and the guest list reads like a poster off a teenager's bedroom wall. Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Porsche, Aston Martin, Bentley and Maserati are all among the automotive icons expected on the road, and spectators can get up close to the lot of them without paying a penny.

The event runs from Friday 11 September 2026 to Monday 14 September 2026, taking in more than 1,000km of Irish roads. Over 250,000 spectators are expected to line the route from coast to coast, many of them waving chequered flags as the convoy passes. Cannonball is fuelled by miles+ from Circle K.

Sunday is Cork's day. The cars depart Limerick Greyhound Stadium at 11am, refuel at Circle K Fermoy at 12.30pm, then head for Little Island for the lunch stop at 1.30pm. Anyone travelling near either location around those times might want to leave a little extra room in the schedule.

There is a serious purpose behind the noise. Cannonball has already raised €2,281,871 for Irish children's charities, and this year the official charity is Ronald McDonald House. The charity supports families whose children need treatment far from home, allowing parents to stay close for as long as that treatment lasts. Since opening in November 2004, the House has provided accommodation, care and support for 5,413 families from all over Ireland.

The weekend begins on Friday 11 September at The Johnstown Estate in Co. Meath, where the convoy departs at approximately 11am following the official safety briefing. Lunch is at The K Club in Straffan at 1pm, with a Circle K fuel stop at the M9 Kilcullen at 3.15pm, before the first finish line in Tullamore, Co. Offaly from approximately 6pm.

Saturday 12 September sees the convoy regroup at Circle K M6 Athlone at 10.30am before heading west to The Falls Hotel in Ennistymon for lunch at 1.30pm. After an afternoon regroup in Bunratty at 3.30pm, the cars arrive into Limerick City from approximately 5pm for another free family festival. The grand finale takes place in Kilkenny City on Sunday evening, with the first supercars expected from approximately 5.30pm.

Half the fun is in the fancy dress. Cannonball drivers and participants are famous for arriving in elaborate costumes, and spectators are encouraged to join in, with prizes awarded for the best efforts. The Kilkenny finish line celebrations will once again feature live entertainment, music, giant screens, family attractions, colourful costumes and the electric atmosphere that has become synonymous with Cannonball.
