Met Éireann has issued a Yellow High Temperature warning covering all counties in Ireland, with the alert in place until 09:00 on Friday, 26 June 2026.
The warning came into effect at noon on Tuesday, 23 June 2026 and was updated on Wednesday, 24 June 2026. Maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C are forecast, with night-time minimum temperatures expected to remain in excess of 15°C.
Met Éireann has identified several potential impacts associated with the conditions, including water safety issues due to increased use of lakes and beaches, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, and the possibility of forest fires.
The warning applies to all 26 counties.
