Met Éireann has extended its Yellow High Temperature warning for all 26 counties, with the alert now in place until 09:00 on Saturday, 27 June 2026.

The warning, which came into effect at noon on Tuesday, 23 June 2026, was updated on Thursday, 25 June 2026. Maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C are expected in many counties, with night-time minimum temperatures forecast to remain in excess of 15°C.

Potential impacts identified by Met Éireann include water safety issues due to increased use of lakes and beaches, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, and the possibility of forest fires.

The warning covers: Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow.
