Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault in Whitegate, County Cork, on Friday, 4 September 2026.

Shortly after 4pm, a man in his 30s was reportedly assaulted and threatened by a lone male near the local playground in Whitegate Village. The victim managed to flee the scene without serious injury.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. Additionally, motorists or individuals with camera or dash cam footage from the Whitegate Village area between 3pm and 6pm on Friday, 4 September 2026, are urged to contact investigating Gardaí.
