Cork Summer Show 2026: Munster's Biggest Agricultural Weekend Returns to Curraheen
Cork Summer Show returns to Curraheen on 20 & 21 June 2026 with 200 events, new attractions, and improved transport. Early bird tickets on sale until 11 May.
Munster's longest-running agricultural showcase is back for its biggest show weekend to date, with the Cork Summer Show returning to the Cork Showgrounds in Curraheen on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 June 2026. Organisers are promising a packed two-day programme of farming, food, competition, and family entertainment, with a range of new attractions joining the firm favourites.
This year's show introduces the Agri Aware Talks and Demonstration Marquee, featuring a live working farm experience complete with milking cows, machinery demonstrations, and interactive learning focused on modern farming and sustainability. New additions also include the Cork Reenactment Military Show, the RSA Education Truck, and Tug of War Ireland, bringing a fresh competitive edge to the weekend.
Across both days, visitors can enjoy 200 events and attractions, from hundreds of competition classes spanning livestock, equestrian events, horticulture, baking, art, and traditional craftsmanship, to chick hatchings, tractor shows, pony experiences, and baking classes. Rabbits and guinea pigs will make their debut in the poultry marquee on the Saturday, adding to the variety on offer.
With over 40,000 visitors expected across the weekend, organisers are placing a strong emphasis on travel planning this year. An extended and redirected Bus Éireann 208 route will bring visitors directly to and from the Showgrounds every 10 to 20 minutes, with free shuttle buses running from Ballincollig Shopping Centre, Black Ash Park and Ride, Curraheen Greyhound Stadium, and MTU's Bishopstown Campus. Additional park-and-ride options and expanded parking capacity have also been introduced to ease congestion.
The show's Kids' Zone and Funfair return alongside arts and crafts, animal encounters, and a range of interactive experiences. The Field of Dreams project, run by Down Syndrome Cork, will feature at this year's event, and a dedicated Relax Space will provide a calm and inclusive environment for visitors who need it. Sensory Hours are reserved for between 9:00am and 11:00am.
Food classes, artisan markets, and traditional skills demonstrations will also be on offer, including sessions with Celtic Stick Makers, a Flax and Linen demo, and a Traditional Wool Craft demo. Competition entries can be submitted online up to noon on Friday 12 June.
This year's official charity partner is Cork City Missing Persons, marking 25 years of dedicated voluntary service supporting families through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Gerard Murphy, President of the Munster Agricultural Society, said:
"As we look ahead to this year's Cork Summer Show, a huge amount of work has gone into improving the overall visitor experience –particularly when it comes to getting people to and from the event. With enhanced transport options, additional parking, and direct bus access to the Showgrounds, we're making it easier than ever for people to plan their day. Alongside that, this year's show promises a fantastic line-up celebrating the very best of farming, food and family entertainment, and we're looking forward to welcoming everyone back this June."
