Cork Summer Show 2026: Biggest Line-Up to Date as Bus Éireann Extends 208 Service
Cork Summer Show returns 20–21 June with its biggest line-up to date. Bus Éireann extends the 208 service direct to Curraheen Showgrounds every 10–20 mins across the weekend.
Cork Summer Show has confirmed its biggest line-up to date ahead of this year's event at the Cork Summer Showgrounds in Curraheen on Saturday, 20 and Sunday, 21 June. Munster's longest-running agricultural showcase is expecting over 45,000 visitors across the weekend, with an extended Bus Éireann 208 service providing direct access to the Showgrounds entrance every 10 to 20 minutes.
The 208 service will operate from 10am to 6pm on both days, connecting key areas across Cork city with the Showgrounds. Organisers are encouraging visitors to plan their journey in advance and take advantage of the expanded public transport options.
Free shuttle buses will also run from Ballincollig Shopping Centre, Black Ash Park and Ride, Curraheen Greyhound Stadium and the Le Cheile building at MTU's Bishopstown Campus, where increased parking capacity will also be available this year.
New additions to the 2026 programme include the Agri Aware Talks and Demonstration Marquee, a live working farm experience, machinery demonstrations, the Cork Reenactment Military Show, the RSA Education Truck, Tug of War Ireland and a special dressage demonstration on Sunday. Rabbits and guinea pigs will also feature in the poultry marquee on Saturday.
The dressage demonstration will showcase movements from Grand Prix level, including half passes in trot and canter, canter pirouettes and flying changes, featuring dressage coach and Grand Prix winner Sue Smallman alongside Irish U25 Champion and international dressage rider Emily Kate Robinson.
Live entertainment across the weekend will include Bog Jazz, the Swift Show Tribute Band, DJ Jim X Comet, Two Time Polka, Boolaboom and Zurrito. Returning favourites include chick hatchings, tractor displays, baking classes, pony experiences, artisan markets, floral art demonstrations by AOIFA members in the Equine competition rings on Sunday, livestock and equestrian competitions, and the ever-popular Kids' Zone and Funfair.
Agricultural education is a major focus for 2026, with milking demonstrations and machinery displays giving families and city-based visitors a closer look at modern rural life. Competition classes across livestock, equestrian, poultry, craft, baking, horticulture and home industry continue the Show's long tradition as one of Munster's key community competition platforms. Entries remain open until Friday, 12 June; late entries cannot be accepted.
This year's official charity partner is Cork City Missing Persons Search and Recovery, marking the organisation's 25th anniversary of voluntary service supporting families through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
