Cork Airport Announces Two New Aer Lingus Routes to Nice and Santiago de Compostela for Summer 2026
Walk the Camino or stroll the Promenade: new Aer Lingus routes from Cork Airport to Santiago and Nice, summer 2026.
Cork Airport has unveiled two new Aer Lingus destinations for summer 2026, with direct flights to Nice on the French Riviera and Santiago de Compostela in northwest Spain joining the airline's expanding network from the South of Ireland.
The announcement, made today, also confirms that the popular Prague service, which launched in October, will extend from a winter-only route to a year-round offering. This brings to six the total number of new Aer Lingus routes announced from Cork Airport in the past 12 months, following the addition of Bilbao, Bordeaux, Prague and Geneva.
The Nice service will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 6 May to 30 September 2026, providing a gateway to the Côte d'Azur. Santiago de Compostela, the historic endpoint of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage, will be served twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays from 1 June to 22 October 2026.
Prague flights will continue on Mondays and Thursdays, running from 30 March to 22 October 2026.
Aer Lingus' summer schedule from Cork will also include services to Málaga, Faro, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao and Bordeaux, alongside daily London Heathrow flights and regional connections to Bristol and Glasgow.
Tara Finn, Head of Aviation Business Development and Communications at Cork Airport:
"Christmas has come early for us here at Cork Airport as we announce two new routes for summer 2026 with our friends at Aer Lingus. Nice and Santiago de Compostela are two fantastic cities, and both open up the options for visitors to explore the wider regions surrounding them."
Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus:
"Aer Lingus customers in Cork and southern Ireland now have even more destinations to choose from as Nice and Santiago de Compostela join our European network. Both destinations are rich in culture, cuisine, and offer charm in abundance."
Fares to Nice start from €69.99 one way, while Santiago de Compostela is available from €59.99 one way, including taxes and charges.
