Contracts Signed for New Housing Development in Knocknagree

Cork County Council has signed contracts with J.D. Buckley Construction Ltd for Phase 3 of a new housing development at Cearnóg Chluain Each, Knocknagree, which will deliver seven new social homes for North Cork.

The contracts were signed on Monday, 27 July 2026, at County Hall. Present at the signing were Chief Executive Moira Murrell and Mayor of the County of Cork, Cllr Bernard Moynihan.

The development will be located on the edge of Knocknagree village, close to local amenities and services. It is being delivered under the Social Housing Investment Programme (SHIP) and will provide four one-bedroom, single-storey houses, two two-bedroom, two-storey houses, and one three-bedroom, two-storey house.

These new homes will provide high-quality accommodation for people in North Cork while supporting the continued growth and vitality of the village. The scheme will also include 11 car parking spaces, including visitor parking and designated accessible parking bays, along with soft landscaping featuring green spaces, planting, trees and amenity areas.
