Bugatti Chiron Set for Cannonball Ireland, With Cork Stop Planned for Convoy’s Final Day
Bugatti Chiron joins Cannonball Ireland this weekend, passing through Fermoy & Cork city Sun 13 Sept en route to Kilkenny finale.
Cannonball Ireland returns this weekend, and for the first time the convoy will include a Bugatti Chiron Sport, one of the rarest hypercars in the world. The event, which is free to attend, is expected to draw more than 250,000 spectators along the route, with Fermoy and Cork city among the stops on its closing day.
Cannonball runs from Friday 11 September to Sunday 13 September 2026. Now established as Europe's largest organised road trip, the event brings a convoy of supercars, entertainment, and festival atmosphere to towns and cities across the country. This year's line-up includes Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Aston Martins, Porsches, and Bentleys, alongside the headline addition of the Bugatti Chiron Sport.
The Chiron Sport, part of the exclusive fleet arriving in Ireland from Oasis Limousines in the UK, is powered by a 1,500hp quad-turbocharged W16 engine and features a full exposed carbon-fibre exterior. Its inclusion marks the first time the model has taken part in Cannonball.
For Cork, the key day is Sunday 13 September. The convoy departs Limerick at 11am, stopping at Circle K in Fermoy at approximately 12.30pm before continuing on to the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cork for a lunch stop. From there, the convoy heads for the Cannonball Grand Finale in Kilkenny City at approximately 5.30pm.
Cannonball was founded by Kildare businessman Alan Bannon and has raised more than €2.28 million for Irish children's charities to date. This year's official charity partner is Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland, which supports families of seriously ill children receiving hospital treatment. The event is also estimated to generate around €2.5 million in economic benefit for the towns it visits, with 450 participants and crew alongside the spectator numbers.
Cannonball 2026 is sponsored by Circle K (miles+), with Treacy Solar and McDonald's as Tour Sponsors, alongside several other official partners.
