Ballyvolane Road Resurfacing Works to Cause Disruption on Two Key Routes

Ballyhooly & Banduff Roads face resurfacing works from 28 Sept, STOP/GO traffic management in place.

Cork City Council has confirmed resurfacing works will take place on Ballyhooly Road and Banduff Road over the coming weeks, as part of the ongoing Ballyvolane Strategic Transport Corridor project.

Contractors McGinty & O'Shea will begin on Ballyhooly Road, working north of the Fox and Hounds junction towards Mervue, from Monday, 28 September to Friday, 9 October. Works will run between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

Attention will then shift to Banduff Road, between Brookvale estate and the Old Youghal Road, from Monday, 12 October to Friday, 23 October, also between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

STOP/GO traffic management will be in place for the duration of both phases. The council has confirmed that local access, including for pedestrians and cyclists, will be maintained throughout.

Cork City Council has apologised in advance for the disruption and thanked road users for their patience while the project is completed.
