Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind warning for Cork and Kerry, forecasting very strong and gusty southeasterly winds.

The warning is expected to bring difficult travelling conditions, with some fallen trees and branches possible, along with displaced debris and loose objects. Wave overtopping is also expected, due to a combination of Spring tides, storm surge and very strong onshore winds.

The warning comes into effect at 13:00 on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, and is due to expire at 21:00 the same day. It was issued by Met Éireann at 15:13 on Sunday, 27 September 2026.
