Young Man Seriously Injured in Early Morning Kerry Collision

A man in his 20s has been seriously injured following a single-vehicle collision in Co. Kerry in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene on the N72 at Fossa, near Killarney, shortly before 3am on Sunday, 18th May 2025.

The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, received treatment at the scene before being transported by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry. Due to the serious nature of his injuries, he has since been transferred to Cork University Hospital.

The scene of the collision has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators as part of the ongoing investigation.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward and are particularly interested in speaking with road users who may have camera footage from the area at the time of the incident.
