Yellow Rainfall Warning Issued for Cork and Three Other Counties

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for Cork, Galway, Kerry, and Mayo, with spells of heavy rain expected throughout Sunday.

The warning, issued this afternoon at 15:07, takes effect from midnight tonight (Sunday, 1 March) and remains in place until midnight on Monday, 2 March.

Met Éireann is warning of spells of heavy rain across the four counties, which may lead to localised flooding, poor visibility, and hazardous travelling conditions.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution, particularly on routes prone to surface water, and to allow extra time for journeys. Pedestrians and cyclists should also take care in reduced visibility.

Residents in flood-prone areas are encouraged to monitor conditions and take any necessary precautions ahead of the expected rainfall.

Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
