Witness Appeal Following Fatal Road Traffic Collision on N73, Kildorrery

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the N73 Mallow-Dublin Road at Kildorrery, Co Cork, this morning, Sunday 7th June 2026.

The single-vehicle collision occurred at around 7:25am. The driver and lone occupant of the car, a woman in her 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Her body has been removed to the local mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The Coroner has been notified.

The N73 is currently closed between Kildorrery Village and the R522 for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are asking any witnesses to the collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and who were travelling in the area of the N73 Mallow-Dublin Road at Kildorrery between 7:00am and 7:30am on Sunday 7th June 2026 are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
