Witness Appeal Following Fatal Collision on N25
Gardaí appeal for witnesses after a man dies in a bus/car collision on the N25 at Kinsalebeg, Co. Waterford, Sun evening.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man in his mid 60s died in a collision between a bus and a car in Kinsalebeg, Ardmore, Co. Waterford, on Sunday evening.
Shortly before 8pm on Sunday, 20 September 2026, Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision on the N25 between Youghal and Dungarvan at Kinsalebeg. The driver of the car, a male in his mid 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. All occupants of the bus were medically assessed at the scene, and no serious injuries were reported.
The road was closed to allow for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has since fully reopened. The Coroner has been notified, and a post-mortem examination will be arranged.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling on the N25 between Grange and Pilltown Cross between 7:30pm and 8pm are asked to make this footage available to the investigating Gardaí.
