Witness Appeal After Woman Seriously Injured in Cork City Centre Collision

A woman in her 60s remains in a serious condition at Cork University Hospital following a collision between a van and a pedestrian at the junction of Anglesea Street and Anglesea Terrace this afternoon.

An Garda Síochána are appealing for witnesses to come forward after the serious injury road traffic collision in Cork city centre today, Wednesday 5th November 2025.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident at approximately 3.30pm. The collision involved a van and a female pedestrian who was in her 60s.

The woman was taken to Cork University Hospital where she remains in a serious condition. No other injuries were reported.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Road users who may have camera footage, including dashcam recordings, and were travelling on Anglesea Street and Anglesea Terrace between 3.15pm and 3.45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.

The junction of Anglesea Street and Anglesea Terrace is located in the heart of Cork city centre, close to several businesses and just off the South Mall.
