Water Outage Planned for Togher and Douglas Areas Tomorrow Night
Togher/Douglas water outage tomorrow 9.30pm-12.30am for essential upgrades.

Essential upgrades to Cork City's water network will require a planned water outage affecting numerous areas in Togher and Douglas from 9.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday, 6 August) until 12.30am on Thursday morning.
Uisce Éireann has announced that essential works to upgrade the water network from the Lough to Capwell towards South Douglas Road will cause supply disruptions for customers across a significant portion of Cork's southside. The three-hour outage is scheduled to begin at 9.30pm on Wednesday evening to minimise disruption to households and businesses.
The affected areas include Vicars Court, Vicars Road, Rose Lawn, Togher Road, Michael Fitzgerald Road, Charles Daly Road, The Acre, Marie Ville, Sarahville Place, Connolly Green, McDonagh Road, Kileenreendowney Avenue, Fr. Dominic Road North, Pearse Place, Plunkett Road, Edward Walsh Road, Patrick Trahy Road, Patrick O'Donoghue Place, Ardmanning Road, Pouladuff Road and surrounding areas.
Brian McCarthy, Uisce Éireann:
"We wish to acknowledge the inconvenience caused by a planned outage but these works are essential. I can assure affected customers that crews will complete the works as quickly as possible to restore normal water supply."
While normal supply typically returns within two to three hours following repairs, Uisce Éireann has warned that customers on higher ground or at the end of the network may experience longer delays before full water pressure is restored.
