Uisce Éireann Maintains Emergency Water Supply at Ballyhooly GAA as Investigation Continues
Uisce Éireann maintains emergency water supply at Ballyhooly GAA pitch whilst working group addresses ongoing network issues. Residents must boil water before use.

Uisce Éireann has confirmed that the alternative water supply stationed at Ballyhooly GAA pitch will remain in place as the utility company works to resolve ongoing water supply challenges affecting the County Cork community.
The state water company has established a dedicated working group to address the persistent water issues in Ballyhooly, acknowledging the significant impact on local residents and businesses. Michael Bell, Water Network Operations Manager at Uisce Éireann, expressed understanding of the community's frustration whilst assuring that investigatory and remedial works remain a priority.
"We do understand the frustration felt by the community and we want to assure residents and the business community that we are working to address the water supply challenges in the area," Bell stated.
The response includes a comprehensive network review currently underway, with investigatory and optimisation works having commenced in recent weeks. Uisce Éireann has deployed find and fix teams alongside operational crews who are actively working on the ground to locate and repair leaks throughout the Ballyhooly network.
Residents requiring water from the alternative supply at the GAA pitch are reminded to bring their own containers and must boil the water before consumption as a precautionary measure, in line with HSE guidance.
The ongoing works represent Uisce Éireann's commitment to restoring reliable water supply to the area, though no timeline has been provided for when normal service will resume.
