Met Éireann has issued a Yellow Wind Warning for 26 counties including Cork as Storm Chandra, officially named earlier today by the UK Met Office, is set to bring very strong and gusty conditions from the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The warning, updated at 19:10 this evening, affects Carlow, Cavan, Clare, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford, and Wicklow from 3am tomorrow until 11pm tomorrow evening.

Winds associated with Storm Chandra will be very strong and gusty particularly on coasts and in exposed areas, according to Met Éireann's warning.

The forecaster has highlighted several possible impacts, including fallen trees and loose debris, wave overtopping, and hazardous travel conditions across the affected regions.
