Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, and Wexford, in effect until 19:00 on Wednesday, 27 May 2026. The warning was issued at 16:58.
Scattered thunderstorms are moving up from the south, with the potential for lightning and hail damage. Met Éireann also warns of slippy roads and impaired visibility where showers hit.
