Status Yellow High Temperature Warning for Cork
Met Éireann Status Yellow high temperature warning for Cork and 12 other counties from 1pm Friday to 7am Sunday. Heat stress and forest fire risk.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow high temperature warning for Cork and twelve other counties, valid from Friday afternoon through to Sunday morning.
The warning covers maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C combined with overnight temperature minimums in excess of 15°C.
Met Éireann has warned of a number of potential impacts, including water safety issues due to increased use of lakes and beaches, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, and the possibility of forest fires.
The warning affects Carlow, Cork, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, and Wexford.
The warning was issued at 8:44am on Friday 10 July 2026, with onset expected from 1:00pm the same day. It is due to expire at 7:00am on Sunday 12 July 2026.
