South Link Inbound Slip Road To Close For Almost Two Weeks
South Link inbound slip road at South Douglas Road closes for ESB works, 5am Mon 31 Aug to 8pm Fri 11 Sep. Route 226 stops affected.
Bus Éireann has confirmed that the South Link slip road inbound, at South Douglas Road, will be fully closed to all traffic for almost two weeks from Monday, as ESB carries out ducting works at the location.
The closure runs from 5am on Monday 31 August 2026 until 8pm on Friday 11 September 2026, to allow ESB to complete the works.
Route 226 services will be affected for the length of the closure. Two stops, Evergreen Road (240881) and Langford Row (240891), will not be served during this period. Bus Éireann is advising passengers to use stop 240911 at South Terrace instead.
No alternative route for general traffic has been published in the notice, and no estimate of likely delays has been given. Bus Éireann has advised customers to check its Real Time Passenger Information app or website for the latest service updates.
