Rylane Community Park Launches "Buy a Brick" Campaign at Sunday Coffee Morning
Rylane Community Park is launching a Buy a Brick campaign this Sunday 22 March from 12 noon at Rylane School Hall.
A Cork village community is calling on residents, former residents, and local businesses to come together this Sunday for the launch of a fundraising campaign that will leave a lasting mark on Rylane for generations.
The Rylane Community Park Association is hosting a "Buy a Brick" campaign launch and Coffee Morning on Sunday, 22 March, from 12 noon at Rylane School Hall. The event will give attendees the chance to learn about the next phase of development at Rylane Community Park over tea, coffee, and refreshments.
Established in 2016, the Association has already delivered a playing pitch, astro pitch, and playground for the village and surrounding areas, all through volunteer effort and community support.
The focus now turns to the development of a new Community Hub building, which will serve as a centre for social, recreational, and community activity. The project has secured almost €1.8 million in Government funding, with completion targeted for 2026.
The "Buy a Brick" campaign offers individuals, families, and businesses the opportunity to purchase a commemorative brick that will form part of the new development, providing a permanent connection to the park's story.
Linda Grimes, Chairperson of the Rylane Community Park Association, said:
"This project has always been built by the community and for the community. The Buy a Brick campaign allows people to become a permanent part of the park's story while helping us deliver a fantastic new facility for everyone in Rylane and the wider area."
Those wishing to find out more about the campaign or how to purchase a brick can visit the Rylane Community Park Facebook Page, attend the launch on Sunday, or contact any member of the committee directly.
