Bus Éireann has confirmed that Route 245 cannot serve Bishop's Island due to a fallen tree, and is diverting via the L-2973. The diversion is effective immediately until further notice, and passengers should check live information before travelling.

Bus Éireann has not identified the affected stops, the exact location of the tree or when normal service is expected to resume. The notice on Bus Éireann's service updates page was updated at 14:14.

Elsewhere, Bus Éireann's Route 51 update, last updated at 14:18 on Tuesday 29 September 2026, lists the 12:25 Cork to Galway journey as cancelled. No cause has been given for the cancellation.

The same notice says the 10:25 Cork to Galway service is delayed by 40 minutes due to roadworks in Buttevant, Co. Cork. Real-time bus information is available at buseireann.ie/rtpi.

Bus Éireann has apologised to passengers for any inconvenience.
