Revenue Seize Contraband Worth Over €439,000 in Nationwide Operations
Revenue have seized over €439,000 worth of drugs, tobacco, alcohol, counterfeit goods, and weapons in nationwide operations.

Revenue officers have seized contraband valued at more than €439,430 during a series of operations across Dublin, the Midlands, and Rosslare Europort over the past week.
The operations, which began on 1 September 2025, were intelligence-led and supported by risk profiling. They resulted in significant detections, including drugs, counterfeit goods, and other prohibited items.
Drug Seizures
Officers recovered:

13.73kg of herbal cannabis valued at almost €260,000

6.92kg of cannabis resin worth more than €38,500

The haul also included edibles, khat, hash cakes, cannabinoid vapes and liquids, synthetic cannabinoids, amphetamines, butane honey oil, and assorted prescription tablets including Alprazolam, Diazepam, Benzodiazepine, and Zopiclone.
The parcels, which originated from the USA, Netherlands, France, India, Canada, and the UK, were destined for addresses nationwide. Detector dogs Sam, Ciara, and Jasapr assisted Revenue officers in uncovering the drugs.
Tobacco and Alcohol
In separate operations, Revenue officers seized tobacco products with an estimated value of €39,800, representing a potential loss to the Exchequer of almost €2,800. Brands included Marlboro Touch, Rothmans Blue, Winston, Superkings Original Blacks, and Amber Leaf.
Eight litres of spirits were also detained, valued at €230, with a potential loss of €180 to the Exchequer.
Counterfeit Goods and Weapons
Counterfeit goods with an estimated retail value of over €94,200 were confiscated. Brands included Adidas, Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Nike, Ralph Lauren, Moncler, and others. The Rights Holders confirmed that the items infringed on Intellectual Property Rights.
Revenue also seized €2,000 in fake notes and 33 weapons, including smoke bombs, a stun gun, and pepper spray.
Investigations Ongoing
Revenue confirmed that investigations into all seizures are ongoing. These operations form part of ongoing efforts to disrupt smuggling and shadow economy activity.
