Ready Brek and Tesco are recalling specific batches of porridge products due to the possible presence of flour beetle. The alert is classed as Category 1: For Action, under Alert Notification 2026.65.

The presence of flour beetles would render the products unfit for human consumption. The country of origin is listed as the United Kingdom.

The recall covers Ready Brek Original in 750g packs with best-before dates of:

20 August 2027
15 September 2027
16 September 2027

Ready Brek Original in 450g packs is also affected, with best-before dates of:

Tesco Super Smooth Porridge in 750g packs is included for all best-before dates from 30 June 2027 to 25 August 2027 inclusive.

Consumers are advised not to eat the implicated batches. Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.
