A section of Pouladuff Road in Cork city will be closed to through traffic later this week as part of ongoing improvement works in the area.

Cork City Council has confirmed that Pouladuff Road between Barrett's Cross and East Avenue housing estate will be closed from 9am on Wednesday 27 May until 6pm on Saturday 30 May 2026, to facilitate the raising of road levels as part of the Lehenaghmore Road Improvement Scheme.

Motorists approaching from both directions are asked to follow diversion signage, with the alternative route running via Togher Road and Tramore Road. Traffic management measures will be in place throughout the closure period.

Local access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
