Port of Cork Confirms Ringaskiddy Access Remains Restricted
Port of Cork confirms access to Ringaskiddy facilities remains restricted this morning as fuel protests enter a fourth day.
The Port of Cork has confirmed that access to its Ringaskiddy facilities remains restricted this morning as fuel protests continue into a fourth day.
In a statement posted on social media, the port said it remains in close contact with An Garda Síochána and local protest organisers.
The port asked that any specific queries be directed to communications@portofcork.ie, adding that its team will respond as promptly as possible.
The restriction follows a blockade that has been in place at the Ringaskiddy site since Wednesday evening, as part of the ongoing nationwide fuel price protests. The blockade has impacted access to Port of Cork facilities, nearby pharmaceutical companies, the National Maritime College of Ireland, and Haulbowline naval base.
The Port of Cork said it will provide updates on its social media channels should the situation change.
