Planned Water Outage in Carrignavar on Thursday 28 May
Planned water outage in Carrignavar and surrounding areas tomorrow, Thursday 28 May, from 9am to approximately 3pm due to essential works at the local treatment plant.
Uisce Éireann has advised customers in Carrignavar and surrounding areas of a planned water outage tomorrow, Thursday, 28 May 2026, from 9am until approximately 3pm.
The outage is necessary to allow essential maintenance works to be carried out at the local water treatment plant.
Edwin Barry, Uisce Éireann, said:
"These are essential maintenance works which will require us to temporarily suspend processes at the plant, which will have a knock-on effect on supply for the town and surrounding areas.
We understand the inconvenience caused by a planned outage but we want to assure impacted customers that all efforts will be made to complete the works as efficiently as possible in order for normal supply to be restored."
Vulnerable customers who are registered with Uisce Éireann will receive direct communications for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours. Customers can register as a vulnerable customer or add an alternative contact via the Vulnerable Customers page on the Uisce Éireann website at water.ie.
