Cork City Council is responding to fallen trees at The Lough this morning following last night's strong winds, while Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange Wind Warning for the county from Tuesday morning.
Two trees came down at The Lough during storm conditions on Sunday evening. Council crews are on site this morning dealing with the fallen trees.
The local authority is advising caution for anyone in the area while the work is carried out.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange Wind Warning for Cork, which will be in effect from 7am to 3pm on Tuesday, 9th December. The warning indicates dangerous conditions with very strong winds expected.
Cork City Council has confirmed it will continue to monitor the weather situation throughout the day and provide updates as necessary.
