Overnight Road Works Planned for N27 Cork Airport Road This Week

Cork City Council will carry out essential resurfacing works on the N27 Cork Airport Road over two nights this week, with motorists advised to allow extra travel time during the works.

The road improvements, being completed on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland, will take place on the N27 from the Airport Roundabout downhill to where the dual carriageway ends near Hanleys Garden Centre.

Works are scheduled to run from 20:00 on Wednesday 26 November to 05:00 on Thursday 27 November, and from 20:00 on Thursday 27 November to 05:00 on Friday 28 November.

The road will remain open throughout the works period, but localised Stop/Go traffic management will be in operation during these hours. Cork City Council is advising motorists travelling to or from Cork Airport during this timeframe to factor in additional journey time.

The resurfacing works are part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the key arterial route connecting Cork City with Cork Airport.
