New Plant-Based Energy Drink Launches Across Ireland

A zero-sugar energy drink powered entirely by plant-based caffeine has launched across Irish retailers, targeting health-conscious consumers seeking an alternative to traditional energy drinks.

Reign Storm, available in 355ml cans for between €2 and €2.50, derives its caffeine from a blend of green coffee beans, guarana, and green tea. The drink contains 114mg of plant-based caffeine per can and is now stocked in Dunnes Stores, Super Valu, and selected gyms and fitness centres nationwide.

The energy drink comes in three flavours: Valencia Orange, Peach Nectarine, and Kiwi Blend. Unlike many conventional energy drinks, Reign Storm contains no added sugar, artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives, making it suitable for vegans.

The product includes nine vitamins and minerals, including zinc, biotin, and chromium, which the company says can support immunity, hair and skin health, reduce fatigue, and improve concentration.

"We're looking forward to Reign Storm leading the way in the clean energy category, offering existing and new energy drinkers a delicious, functional clean energy alternative through a brand with an aspirational, yet relatable, image and lifestyle," said Ben Ashlin, VP of Brands at Reign Storm.

The launch comes as consumer demand grows for energy drinks that provide stimulation without the sugar crash associated with traditional formulations. The company positions the product for people with active lifestyles, from early morning gym-goers to office workers needing an afternoon boost.

Reign Storm's entry into the Irish market represents the latest addition to the expanding clean energy drink category, as brands seek to capture health-conscious consumers who previously avoided energy drinks due to high sugar content and artificial ingredients.

The company has partnered with fitness and lifestyle ambassadors and sponsors events promoting active lifestyles as part of its marketing strategy.
