Cork City Council has confirmed new parking rates for Paul Street & North Main Street car parks from Wed 2 Sept 2026. On-street rates unaffected.

New Parking Charges For Paul Street and North Main Street Car Parks

Cork City Council has announced new parking tariffs for its Paul Street and North Main Street multi-storey car parks, with the revised rates due to take effect from Wednesday, 2 September 2026.

The changes mark the first update to charges at both facilities since February 2022. On-street parking charges are not affected.

Paul Street Car Park

Cork City Council Spokesperson:

"The revised tariffs will come into effect on September 2 and apply to both council-operated multi-storey car parks. Income generated from the car parks support the operation, maintenance and improvement of services and amenities within the city. Cork City Council will continue to provide the best value city centre parking with our new rates being 80c to €1.50 cheaper per hour than comparable private parking facilities."

Paul Street Car Park has 759 spaces and opens from 7.30am to midnight, Monday to Saturday, and 11am to midnight on Sundays. North Main Street Car Park has 330 spaces and opens from 7.30am to 9.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and 11.30am to 9.30pm on Sundays.
