New Charges Come Into Effect Tomorrow At Tramore Valley Park Civic Amenity Site
New charges start tomorrow at Tramore Valley Park Civic Amenity Site: €4 entry, €5 per green waste bag, €6 per refuse bag.
A new charging structure will come into effect tomorrow, 24 August 2026, at Tramore Valley Park Civic Amenity Site, Cork City Council has confirmed.
The site, which handles the highest volume of domestic recyclables, bulk waste and hazardous materials in Munster, will move from its current vehicle-based charging system to a flat entry fee combined with per-bag charges.
Under the new structure, visitors will pay a flat entry fee of €4, with green waste charged at €5 per bag and refuse at €6 per bag. Recycling visits will cost €4, an increase of €1, while recycled paint tins will cost €2 each, also a €1 increase, with a limit of ten tins per customer per day.
As an example, a customer bringing four bags of green waste to the site would pay €24 in total, made up of the €4 entry fee and €20 for four bags.
Cork City Council said the updated pricing model brings the site in line with charging structures used at similar facilities, while helping to meet rising waste management, processing and disposal costs.
