Bus Éireann's Route 225 will bypass a stop on Eglinton Street every night this week, as resurfacing works close part of the N27 South Link Road to traffic.

The nightly closure began at 21:30 this evening and will run in the same window, 21:30 to 06:00, until Saturday 12 September. Cork City Council say the works are needed for large-scale resurfacing and road improvements on the N27 South Link Road, with both inbound lanes closed to traffic for the duration.

While the diversion is in place, Route 225 services towards Kent Train Station will not serve stop 236851 at Eglinton Street.

Bus Éireann has not yet confirmed an alternative stop for affected passengers, nor given an estimate of any extra journey time the diversion may add.
