A multi-vehicle collision on the N40 South Ring Road is causing delays for eastbound motorists this afternoon, with traffic backed up as far as Douglas.

The incident occurred between Junction 10 at Mahon and the Jack Lynch Tunnel West Entrance, with Lane 2 affected. Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) confirmed the collision at 15:20 today, 10 October 2025.

TII advises that minor delays may occur when approaching the collision location. Motorists are asked to reduce speed and drive with caution on approach.

Traffic is moving slowly through the affected section, with congestion extending back to Douglas.
