MTU Opens Library Doors to Leaving Certificate Students for Exam Preparation

Munster Technological University (MTU) has announced that it will welcome Leaving Certificate students to use its libraries as study spaces in preparation for their upcoming examinations.

From Monday, 26th May until Tuesday, 24th June 2025, students will have access to the MTU Bishopstown campus library and the CSM Fleischmann library, providing them with quiet, focused environments during this critical academic period.

"We're delighted to once again open our doors to Leaving Certificate students," said Michael Costello, Deputy Librarian at MTU. "The CSM Fleischmann Library provides a calm and structured space, and we're proud to support students at such a pivotal point in their academic journey."

The initiative forms part of MTU's ongoing commitment to community engagement, offering valuable resources to local students during one of the most significant periods of their academic careers.

To gain access to the facilities, applicants must complete several requirements, including an online application form and providing documentation such as a letter from their school confirming exam entry or a copy of their CAO application. The documentation must include the student's name and address and be rubber-stamped by the school.

Additional requirements include providing a passport-sized photograph and, for students under 18, a signed letter of approval from a parent or guardian.
