A Multi-Schools Road Safety event has taken place in Millstreet for Transition Year students from both Millstreet and Boherbue Secondary Schools, according to a post by An Garda Síochána Cork.

Cork County Council, the National Ambulance Service, Millstreet Fire Brigade and An Garda Síochána ensured that all students got a first hand account of the impact of road collisions and behaviours on all road users.

Guest speaker Mark Dalton gave his own account of being in a road traffic collision and the lasting impact it still has on his life.

A road traffic simulation also showed students what occurs at the scene of an accident.
